Tucked behind the Peabody Memorial Library in Jonesport is one of the area’s quietest pleasures: a garden tended with care by the Jonesport & Beals Garden Club.
The Peabody Library has served this community since 1915, and the garden out back reflects the same spirit of quiet dedication — a living, blooming project that the club has cultivated as a gift to the whole community.
If you’re someone who likes to slow down and look closely, it’s a perfect little stop.
Bring the kids, bring a coffee from La Laiterie or Moosabec Variety, and take a few minutes to appreciate what a handful of dedicated volunteers can grow.
